Biometric Check-In

Biometric Check-In

The Community Center in Madison has implemented a new method for checking in at the front counter using biometrics. This system collects information from your fingerprint to create a unique identity for each member. Once a user is enrolled, they can be verified in less than two seconds.

Enrollment

Enrollment takes less than two minutes and will be available to everyone. The enrollment process will start in March of 2005.

How Does it Work:

The system enrolls fingers and associates them to member's records. It takes a series of measurement and comes up with a unique identity for the member's finger.* Though it does not store the finger print image, it can accurately identify the user quickly. This system will be used in place of the current swipe card system. You will no longer need to remember your swipe card to access the Community Centers Facilities.

* Privacy Notice: This system does not, in any way, store an image of your fingerprint. With the data collected, it is impossible to recreate your fingerprint.
