Registration: $1 per evetnt with a maximum of
$5 (anything after 5 events will be free)
Events such as track and field, golf, bowling,
and horseshoes will be offered. Registration forms available
at The Community Center or call Bernie Schuurmans at 256-4644.

entry into the DSU Trojan Day Parade 5K

The Couch to 5K in 10 weeks program is a
fantastic program that’s been designed to get anyone from
the couch to running 5K in just 9 weeks. Running Trainer
Desiree Hortness will lead this new running program. that
will gently get your body moving, starting off alternating
between walking and running small distances, and slowly
reving up until you’re ready to run a 5K. The program will
get participants ready to run the DSU Trojan Day Parade 5K
on Saturday, September 28th. All participants are
automatically enrolled into the Trojan Day Parade 5K.

Cost: $15 per person Location: Community Center
Walk your hound and lose a pound. Every Saturday morning
take your dog for a walk and exercise your dog and yourself.
Each week we will meet at the Community Center for a new
route.

Cost: Members - $210
Non-Members - $300 includes a
2-month membership to Center
(Note: Current weight
watcher participants deduct $80 from cost)
The Community Center has teamed up with the local weight
watchers group to offer you the ultimate weight loss and
exercise program called 5%+ Weight Loss Program. Through the
Community Center you will receive a startup and final
consultation, 5 one-on-one personal training sessions,
personal guidance, CC95 Xtreme workout, and a weight
watchers membership for 2 continuous months.
Weight Watchers will balance your diet with their points
plus program. Along with their revolutionary weight loss
program you will receive the “Get Started Booklet”, pocket
guide to count points, attend weekly Weight Watcher
meetings, receive a Weight Watchers Weekly, healthy recipes
and coupons for Weight Watchers products.
After your first 60 days if you lost 5% of your starting
weight The Community Center will award your healthy efforts
by giving you 5 additional personal training sessions or
non-members will receive a $100 gift certificate towards an
annual membership! Take CHARGE of your New Year resolution
and accomplish your health and wellness goal by investing in
the 5%+ Weight Loss Program.

Cost: Free to all members
track of your workouts at the Community
Center; cardio, strength training, group fitness, water
exercise, noon basketball, among others. They all count
towards your minutes. There is no time limit on when the
hours need to be completed.
Reach a milestone and be honored with:

1000 hr.: 1000 Hour Club T-shirt, name on 1000 hr. plaque,
and recognition in brochure.

The Community Center Triathlon consists of a 300 yd. indoor
swim at the Community Center, 9 mile bike and 2.25 mile run.
You may compete individually or as a 2 or 3 person team with
each team member doing one/two legs of the race.
